This is the Business Registration page, alternatively you can sign up to compete as an individual.

We’re looking for local restaurants and businesses with the best chili and the biggest hearts. All the proceeds from the chili sales go directly towards the Wake County Boys and Girls Club.

Each participating restaurant will be given a 10ftx10ft covered area from which to serve their chili. Attendees will purchase their Chili Tickets from the registration table and be allowed to sample ~3oz portions from each restaurant. Once they’ve tried each chili, they’ll vote for their favorite. All ticket proceeds will go towards the charity. We ask that restaurants prepare at least 6 gallons of Chili.

We have multiple levels of sponsorship available to help us cover costs for the event and raise money for the Boys and Girls club. Even if you don’t want to enter your chili in the contest, we could still use your donation for this great cause.

People’s Choice Competition:

All local businesses are invited to participate in the People’s Choice Competition. The prize is the coveted Best Chili In Town plaque and, of course, bragging rights! Chili can be prepared off-site and there are no rules regarding style or ingredients.  Attendees will vote on their favorite. The winner will be announced at 4pm!

Best Booth:

This is your opportunity to get creative! A not-so-secret team of celebrity Booth Judges will be visiting each booth to determine the winner. All booths qualify for this competition, so be prepared to go all-out to convince the judges that your booth is the most memorable. The Winner will receive the Best Booth plaque as well as high praise from the Chili Gods.

Chili Tent Supplies:

Please bring all of the following to the 100 block of Fayetteville Street by 10am on the morning of the event. This is a summarized list, for a more detailed version please check the  If you do not have access to one or more of these items, please let us know right away so that we can try to find a way to get them donated for you to use:

Health Department Forms & Information are available HERE

–       Table

–       10ft x 10ft tent

–       Labeled spray bottle of Sanitizer and test strips

–       Hand wash station (see page 5)

–       Waste water ~5 gallon bucket

–       Trash can

–       Multiple serving utensils

–       Disposable forks/spoons/napkins

–       Hot plate to keep chili at 165 F

–       Extension cord for hot plate
